New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (11) and Josh Hart (3).

It appears Tom Brady hasn't held a grudge against the city of New York for the losses his Patriots suffered to the Giants in the 2008 and 2012 Super Bowls.

Over the weekend, the retired quarterback forecasted that the Knicks would end their 25-year NBA Finals drought this upcoming season, a year after finishing as the second seed in the East. Brady made the prediction while joining Knicks stars Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart for a recording of their "Roommates Show" web series at the Fanatics Fest.

"To win the Super Bowl is just a whole other thing," said the seven-time Super Bowl champion. "It is probably like getting to the [NBA] finals. It is hard to get there, and then once you get there, now you really gotta compete."

At this point, Brunson and Hart conceded they don't know what it "feels like" to play for an NBA championship. Brady responded, "I have a feeling you're gonna get there."

The oddsmakers in Vegas don't seem to share Brady's optimism for the Knicks, giving the franchise the fifth-shortest odds to win the NBA title this upcoming season behind the Celtics (+325), Thunder (+650), 76ers (+750) and Nuggets (+800).

That said, the New York fan base has reasons aplenty to be excited about its future. This offseason, the Knicks acquired elite wing Mikal Bridges via trade. They also locked up OG Anunoby, Brunson and head coach Tom Thibodeau for the long haul, ensuring they'd remain a viable contender for the foreseeable future.

Last season, the Knicks were a win away from making the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 1999. However, a slew of injuries to their key players meant they fell to the Pacers in an emotional Game 7 at Madison Square Garden.
