    Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese.

Charles Barkley was the "Round Mound of Rebound." It might be time to give Angel Reese a nickname that highlights her rebounding prowess.

The Chicago Sky rookie is rebounding the basketball at an unprecedented rate not just in the women's game, but across all hoops ever played at any level.

On Sunday, Reese became the first WNBA player to register 20 or more rebounds in three consecutive games. The feat was so impressive she joined Ben Wallace as the second player (across NBA and WNBA) to grab as many boards over a three-game stretch in the last 50 years, trailing only Wilt Chamberlain.

Just a few nights before her hat-trick performance, Reese joined Shaquille O'Neal as the only rookie in WNBA or NBA history to register back-to-back games of 20 rebounds. Earlier in the season, she set the WNBA mark for consecutive double-doubles with 15, eclipsing Candace Parker's record. With 22 doubles-doubles in 29 games, she is one double-double away from setting another rookie record.

It's not a stretch to suggest that Reese is already the greatest rebounder the women's game has ever seen. The numbers back it up. Leading the league with 12.9 rebounds per game, she is on pace to set single-season WNBA records for total rebounds, offensive rebounds and rebounding rate.

Reese will try to continue the 20-rebound streak when her Sky hosts Caitlin Clark's Fever in a blockbuster matchup on Friday night. The game will pit the two Rookie of the Year candidates against each other. Amazingly, one woman leads the league in assists and the other in rebounds — and both are doing so at a historic clip.
