New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh.

The New York Jets are just 13 days away from their season-opener on "Monday Night Football" against the San Francisco 49ers.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh said on Tuesday that Pro Bowl pass rusher Haason Reddick still has " plenty of time " to be ready for Week 1 against the Niners as he continues his lengthy holdout and sits on his recent trade request.

Saleh added, however, that he won't be the one who goes crawling back to the offseason acquisition, pleading with him to report to the team.

With standouts like Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner — not to mention four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers — Gang Green has plenty of star power even without Reddick on the field.

San Francisco, meanwhile, is loaded for a potential return to the Super Bowl with studs like wideout Deebo Samuel, Pro Bowl quarterback Brock Purdy, All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey and All-Pro tight end George Kittle. But the 49ers are missing a pair of stars due to ongoing contract holdouts as well. Both wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk and All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams have yet to suit up and, like Reddick, appear doubtful to play in Week 1.

Saleh has been dealing with Reddick's drama for months, ever since New York landed the two-time Pro Bowler in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. With less than two weeks until the Jets kick off a campaign where Saleh's job may be on the line, he's smart to remain focused on the players who are actually making an effort to get ready for a huge test in the season-opener.
