    Tony Finau.

Jim Furyk and Mike Weir will announce their captain's picks for the 2024 Presidents Cup at The Royal Montreal Golf Club on Sept. 3. Many of the 12 total selections seem to be set in stone, but there are still a few bubble spots up for grabs on both Team USA and Team International.

With only a few days left to finalize their roster, here's how we think Furyk and Weir will fill out their teams for the Presidents Cup.

    United States Team

    Automatic Qualifiers

Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay, Sahith Theegala

    Captain's pick predictions

    Sam Burns
Burns missed out on an automatic qualifying spot, but his stellar recent form makes him an easy captain's pick. The 28-year-old has finished T2, T5 and T12 in his last three starts and is one of the best putters on the PGA Tour .

    Tony Finau
Finau has quietly put together a stellar season on the PGA Tour. He's finished T18 or better in 10 of his last 13 starts, and he's one of the best iron players in the world.

    Russell Henley
Henley is a great captain's pick due to his consistency. The veteran has missed only one cut all season, and his only weakness is his lack of distance off the tee. That won't be an issue if Furyk pairs him with a bomber like Clark or Finau.

    Keegan Bradley
Bradley was likely on the outside looking in before last week, but his impressive win at the BMW Championship should be enough to punch his ticket to Royal Montreal. Team USA will benefit from his competitive fire and supreme ball striking.

    Billy Horschel
Speaking of competitive fire, Horschel is the ideal personality for a tournament like this. He has complete confidence in his game right now, as he's finished T22, T10, T7 and T2 in his last four starts.

    Denny McCarthy
This last pick could go several different directions, but McCarthy's putter is a weapon only a few other players possess. Draining lengthy putts can be back-breakers for your opponent in this format, and that's what McCarthy does best.

    International Team

    Automatic Qualifiers

Hideki Matsuyama, Sungjae Im, Adam Scott, Tom Kim, Jason Day, Byeong Hun An

    Captain's pick predictions

    Corey Conners
Not only is this year's Presidents Cup taking place in Canada. The International Team's captain, Weir, is also a proud Canadian. Expect Weir to load up on his countryman with his six captain's picks, starting with a stellar iron player in Conners.

    Taylor Pendrith
We're not done with the Canadians just yet. Pendrith is playing exceptional golf with 11 top-25 finishes, four top-10s and a win in his last 14 starts. He's also an elite putter who can rack up a ton of birdies in a hurry. He should be an easy pick for Weir.

    Christiaan Bezuidenhout
Bezuidenhout's fantastic 2024 season propelled him to the Tour Championship for the first time, so he deserves a chance to compete for Team International. The South African has a brilliant short game and can get scorching hot with his irons. His upside is intriguing as a captain's pick.

    Cameron Davis
Davis is a streaky player, but that's precisely what you want in a competition emphasizing bunched birdies. The Australian has a win and a T5 finish in his last six starts, and his iron play and distance off the tee can be difference-makers.

    Min Woo Lee
Team International will be a massive underdog against Team USA, so Weir must get aggressive with his captain's picks. Lee needs to be more consistent from week to week, but he mashes the ball off the tee and has a magical short game. He has a swagger this team needs if it wants to pull off the upset.

    Si Woo Kim
Kim isn't the sexy pick Lee would be, but what he lacks in swagger, he makes up for in ball-striking prowess. The South Korean is deadly accurate off the tee and flushes his irons. Pair him with an elite putter like Pendrith or Day, and you've got a dangerous duo.
