Jets' Sauce Gardner trolls teammate over his ‘Madden 25’ likeness

Even with the advancements in graphics and AI, sometimes video games miss the mark when it comes to creating realism.

This is especially true for New York Jets running back Breece Hall, who recently was roasted by teammate Sauce Gardner for how far off base his “Madden 25” likeness was from what he actually looks like.

The good news for Hall is EA Sports typically updates “Madden” quite a bit throughout the season, and now that Gardner has brought Hall’s situation to its attention, there’s a good chance his avatar will be more life-like in the next update.

Coming off a 994-yard, five-touchdown season, Hall is expected to take a big step forward in his development as the Jets’ unquestioned No. 1 running back.

Hall has been an early Round 1 pick in most fantasy drafts, and he was the No. 2-ranked running back in ESPN’s offseason position rankings, which polls league executives, coaches and scouts to evaluate and order the top 10 players at each position.

According to the ESPN rankings, many league execs consider Hall to be the best running back under the age of 25 — a group that also includes Atlanta’s Bijan Robinson, Detroit’s Jahmyr Gibbs, Seattle’s Kenneth Walker III, Buffalo’s James Cook and Los Angeles’ Kyren Williams.

After finishing just outside the top 10 in rushing yards (13th) and carries (223, 14th), many believe Hall can have an All-Pro-caliber season in 2024 with Aaron Rodgers replacing Zach Wilson as the starting QB and the Jets likely not playing from behind as much.
