New York Giants cornerback Adoree' Jackson.

Cornerback Adoree' Jackson left the New York Giants in March as a free agent. Now after just six months away from the Big Apple, the two are reportedly running it back for the 2024-25 season.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo posted on X Friday evening that the veteran is re-signing with Big Blue on a one-year deal.

Jackson, 28, spent the last three seasons with New York, making at least 10 starts each year. In 2022, an MCL sprain forced him to sit out six weeks.

His return to action in 2023 saw him record a career first, intercepting Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and returning it 76 yards for a touchdown in Week 16.

Over his three seasons in New York, Jackson totaled 136 solo tackles and now looks to bolster the defensive secondary with teammates Cor'Dale Flott and Nick McCloud.

And they'll certainly need the backup. New York's defense ranked 27th in total defense last season, 19th in passing defense and 26th in scoring defense, according to Fox Sports .

Jackson has a history with new defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, who overlapped with the cornerback in Tennessee for three seasons as the outside linebackers coach. It will be interesting to see where Bowen thinks Jackson fits best in his scheme.
