    Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese.

Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese continued her outstanding rookie season on Sunday by recording her 24th double-double (17 points, 19 rebounds) of the season in her team's 79-74 loss to the Minnesota Lynx.

Those 19 rebounds helped her become the WNBA's all-time single-season rebounding leader with 418 for the season, surpassing the previous mark of 404 set by Sylvia Fowles during the 2018 season.

Along with that, she also set a new WNBA record with her 165th offensive rebound, surpassing the previous record of 162 (Yolanda Griffiths during the 2001 season).

While those numbers are impressive on their own without any further context, they become even more impressive when you remember that she is not only a rookie, but that she set both records while she still has eight games remaining in the season.

Reese is one of the top rookies in the league this season along with Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark.

They have been at the center of an intense, season long rookie of the year debate with Clark seemingly pulling away in recent weeks given her own individual play and the fact the Fever seem to be on track to make the playoffs.

The Sky are still in a playoff position as of Sunday, even with an 11-21 record, but could find themselves in a tie for that spot with the Atlanta Dream after Sunday's schedule of games concludes.

Whether they make the playoffs or not, Reese has already established herself as one of the best paint players in the league and as good of a rebounder as there is. If she is already this dominant collecting rebounds as a rookie, she will almost certainly have a chance to break her own record in future seasons.
