    Jordan Love.

The big story from the Green Bay Packers' 34-29 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday night was not the result of the game.

It was the injury to star quarterback Jordan Love, which occurred with five seconds to play in the fourth quarter. As Love writhed in pain on the field, it looked like a potentially season-altering situation.

As it turns out, Green Bay is expected to get its franchise cornerstone back in time to be competitive. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Love is believed to have suffered a sprained MCL that could sideline him for three-to-four weeks.

Tom Pelissero of NFL.com posted a similar report with an initial timeline of three-to-six weeks.

The 2023 season was Love's first full year as a starter for the Packers, and after an up-and-down first half, he started to dominate down the stretch. Love ultimately led the team on a late-season surge that included a dominant win over the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs.

On Friday, Love completed 17-of-34 passes for 260 yards, two touchdowns and an interception before exiting in the game's final moments.

The Packers' backup quarterback is Malik Willis, who was acquired during the preseason in a trade with the Tennessee Titans. He took the final two snaps against the Eagles, taking a sack to end the game on a Hail Mary attempt.

As long as Love is out of the lineup, the Packers are likely going to struggle on offense as it is a massive drop from Love down to Willis.

They are going to need Love back soon to have a chance in the NFC North.
