In the wake of Friday's tragic school shooting , in which a 14-year-old killed four people and injured several others at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, the Atlanta Falcons are honoring the victims.

The team wore Apalachee Wildcats T-shirts during warm-ups ahead of its season-opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, posting a photo on X with the caption "Our hearts are with you, Apalachee High School."

Friday's shooting was the deadliest in Georgia's history. The suspect and his father were both arrested.

Apalachee High School is in a suburb outside of Atlanta, roughly a 25-minute drive from the Falcons' practice facility in Flowery Branch.

Per Atlanta News First's Baillie Burmaster , Atlanta quarterback Kirk Cousins told reporters Friday that head coach Raheem Morris brought the team together to inform them about the shooting.

At least nine others, in addition to the four that were killed Friday, were wounded.

According to the Associated Press , all of them were taken to hospitals and expected to recover fully.

It's unclear if a moment of silence or tribute will be held pregame for the victims.
