Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill presumably didn’t expect to be taken away in handcuffs hours before his Week 1 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars but that’s exactly the situation he found himself in on Sunday.

As he was on his way to Hard Rock Stadium, Hill was detained by officers after being taken to the ground and placed in cuffs stemming from a minor traffic violation, per multiple reports and subsequently addressed by the team.

Hill was released after being detained and played in Miami’s 20-17 win over the Jaguars, totaling seven receptions, 130 yards and a touchdown — but it was his celebration after scoring an 80-yard TD that caught everyone’s attention as he threw some shade at the Miami PD by walking around with his hands behind his back to imitate his morning misadventures.

Miami-Dade PD released a statement during the game that one of the officers involved in Hill’s arrest had been placed on administrative lead while an investigation was conducted.

Hill was informed after the game that an officer was being investigated, to which he replied “that should tell you everything you need to know,” per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
