    A'ja Wilson.

Angel Reese's record-setting rookie year came to an end last week when she sustained a season-ending wrist injury . Now, fans everywhere are wondering if one of her league-leading markers will stay until the end of the season.

Reese ends her rookie campaign with a staggering 13.1 rebounds per game, which is the most in a season in WNBA history. But with five games remaining in the regular season, the door is open for Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson to reach it.

Wilson, who leads all players with 27.3 points per game, sits right behind Reese at 11.9 rebounds per game.

Wilson is also dealing with late-season injury woes, sitting out against the New York Liberty because of an ankle injury. Her year isn't over yet, however, so the rebound record will be something to watch for as the regular season reaches its conclusion at the end of September.

Regardless of whether she can eclipse Reese's monster stat, Wilson herself is having an incredible season. In July, she became the first player in WNBA history to record 35 points, 10 rebounds and five steals in a single game, via ESPN .

Wilson represented Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics this summer. The team won its eighth straight Olympic gold medal, narrowly beating host team France in the final game 67-66.
