As is tradition, the glitterati showed up in full force for Sunday's U.S. Open men's final between Jannik Sinner and Taylor Fritz. This year, Arthur Ashe Stadium was graced with the presence of a new power couple in Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop sensation Taylor Swift.

So, did Kelce visit Flushing Meadows to watch tennis? Apparently not.

On his "New Heights" podcast , Kelce revealed he was distracted during the match that coincided with Sunday football games from the NFL's opening weekend. Furthermore, Kelce admitted the quiet setting of a tennis affair made him feel a tad out of place, propelling him to stream NFL games on his phone.

"When it's very quiet, we wanna say something and do something," Kelce told his brother, Jason Kelce, of his first tennis experience. "I'm not a quiet person. I've never been a quiet person. So, the entire time, I wanted to heckle the Italian Sinner. I played it respectful, knowing that kind of stuff is frowned upon... Also, it's the [expletive] first Sunday of the NFL season. Did you think I was gonna miss a one o'clock start?"

The Kelce brothers admitted that a tennis match is the perfect place to multitask due to the quietness in the arena between points. To that end, ESPN's "SportsCenter" poked fun at Jason after cameras caught him streaming NFL action during critical junctures of the Sinner versus Fritz match.

Luckily for Jason, Sinner defeated Fritz in straight sets so he could switch all his attention back to football.

Besides Jason and Swift, other celebrities who pulled up for the U.S. Open men's final include Matthew McConaughey, Dustin Hoffman, Jon Bon Jovi, Eddie Redmayne, Jayson Tatum and Jon Hamm. The women's final on Saturday was attended by the likes of Stephen Curry, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Tina Fey, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski.
