Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa in action against the Buffalo Bills

For the most part, it's been a tough first half for Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa against the Buffalo Bills on "Thursday Night Football."

Tagovailoa threw his second interception of the night with 47 seconds remaining in the first quarter, chucking up an ill-advised pass on first-and-10 which was picked off by Bills cornerback Christian Benford, setting up the team's AFC East rival at midfield.

The Bills would settle for a 43-yard field goal from Tyler Bass six plays later. The first 10 points scored by Buffalo came off Tagovailoa turnovers. Cornerback Ja'Marcus Ingram had earlier intercepted Tagovailoa on the Dolphins' opening drive just six plays into the game.

After that first pick, the Bills (starting at the Miami 38-yard-line) would ultimately capitalize, capping off an eight-play drive by converting on a fourth down when quarterback Josh Allen found running back James Cook wide-open on the outside for an easy 17-yard touchdown .

There's still time for Tagovailoa to turn things around. But, if recent history is any indication, his poor first quarter shouldn't come as a surprise.

The Bills have been a thorn in Tagovailoa's side throughout his career. Ahead of  Thursday night's contest, he was 1-6 against Buffalo and had thrown more interceptions (7) than touchdowns (6).
