    Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark.

Caitlin Clark has not wasted any time in becoming a star during her rookie season in the WNBA.

She is not only rolling toward a Rookie of the Year performance, but she has also made history this season with the Indiana Fever and on Friday night set the league's single-season record for assists with her 317th assist of the season.

Here is a look at that play that put her in the record books.

The record was previously held by Alyssa Thomas with 316 assists.
Entering play on Friday, Clark was averaging a league-leading 8.4 assists per game.

While she is primarily known for her scoring and ability to shoot three-pointers from all over the floor, she is also an outstanding playmaker and distributor who makes all of her teammates better.

Thanks in large part to her instant dominance the Fever are headed to the playoffs for the first time since the 2016 season.

Clark is not only the leading favorite for the league's Rookie of the Year, but there is a chance she will also get some MVP consideration.
