Arizona Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr.

Any Arizona Cardinals fan who was concerned about star rookie receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. after his one-reception, four-yard NFL debut last week, can finally breathe a sigh of relief.

After being held without a touchdown through his first four NFL quarters, it only took Harrison Jr. four minutes into the first quarter of Sunday’s matchup with the Los Angeles Rams to score his first career touchdown.

Less than two and a half minutes later, he scored his second in even more impressive fashion. Harrison Jr. outran the Rams defense as he streaked down the right sideline untouched, hauling in a 60-yard strike from Kyler Murray to put the Cardinals up 14-0 midway through the first quarter.

Harrison Jr.’s touchdown is tied for the 10th-longest reception of the season so far and it’s the longest among rookie receivers.

He had four receptions, 131 yards and two touchdowns at time of publication. He’s the second rookie wideout drafted in the top 10 to record his first 100-yard game on Sunday.

The other was New York Giants receiver Malik Nabers (No. 6 overall), who caught 10 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown in NY’s 21-18 loss to the Washington Commanders.
