Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni.

Last Friday, Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown popped up on the injury report when he experienced some tightness during practice. It was later revealed to be a hamstring injury, which would keep him sidelined for Philadelphia's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons on "Monday Night Football."

The Eagles eventually fell to the Falcons 22-21, which has many fans hoping Brown will be back on the field sooner than later.

However, the three-time Pro Bowler reportedly told ESPN's Lisa Salters that he expects to miss a couple of weeks due to his hamstring injury.

Head coach Nick Sirianni wasn't willing to confirm that report following Philadelphia's Week 2 loss.

"We'll see. We'll see," Sirianni said , via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk. "I don't know that yet. You know I won't give you that information yet because I don't know. We'll see how that goes."

It makes sense Sirianni isn't ready to rule out who he believes to be "one of the best players in the NFL" following the Eagles' disappointing showing on Monday night.

Philadelphia's offense greatly missed Brown as quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for just 183 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

In Week 1 alone, Brown amassed five catches for 119 yards and a touchdown.

Things won't get any easier for the Eagles in Week 3, as they head to New Orleans to take on the high-powered Saints (2-0), who are averaging the most points per game (45.5) in the NFL through two weeks.

If Philadelphia hopes to avoid dropping back-to-back games, it will need a much better showing on offense than what it's had.

If Brown is out once again, the Eagles will need to rely even more on wide receiver DeVonta Smith, running back Saquon Barkley and tight end Dallas Goedert to make up for his loss.

Still, that's not an easy task as Brown has produced back-to-back 1,400-yard Pro Bowl seasons since joining Philadelphia via trade ahead of the 2022 season.
