    Cleveland Cavaliers forward Isaac Okoro.

Cleveland Cavaliers small forward Isaac Okoro has had a solid, if unspectacular, first four NBA seasons since being selected fifth overall during the 2020 draft.

With Wednesday morning's announcement that legendary ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski was retiring from his post, Okoro can now add one unique accomplishment to his resume.

The Auburn product agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Cavaliers on Saturday and the deal was, of course, first reported by Wojnarowski. It ended up being his final " Woj bomb ."

Okoro celebrated the occurrence on Wednesday, shortly after Wojnarowski announced his retirement. It was soon reported afterward that "Woj" will be going back to his alma mater to serve as the St. Bonaventure men's basketball general manager.

Okoro averaged career highs in points (9.6), rebounds (3.1), steals (0.9) and minutes per contest (32.4) across 67 games during his 2020-21 rookie season. Okoro was named second team All-Rookie but wasn't much of a shooter in his first year, posting career-low field goal (.420) and three-point field goal percentages (.290).

With All-Star Donovan Mitchell joining the team in September 2022, Okoro's scoring numbers and playing time dipped slightly over the next two seasons, bottoming out at 6.4 points and 21.7 minutes per tilt two years ago. Okoro started just 46 games during the 2022-23 campaign, though he played in a career-high 76 games and shot a career-best 49.4 percent from the field.

He's established himself as the team's best wing defender and upped his scoring (9.4 points) and three-point shooting (career-high 39.1 percent) in 69 games last season.

Wojnarowski, meanwhile, leaves ESPN after seven years with the "World Wide Leader in Sports." The 55-year-old previously worked at Yahoo Sports and The Record of Bergen County (New Jersey).
