Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers had a record-breaking performance in Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns.

On Sunday, the first-round selection out of LSU caught two impressive touchdown passes, becoming the first player in NFL history to log three scores on 20 catches in his first three games.

However, Nabers told reporters Tuesday that he believes his efforts against Cleveland were outshined by his former LSU teammate during "Monday Night Football."

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels threw for 254 yards and two scores in a 38-33 victory over the winless Cincinnati Bengals, including this dime to receiver Terry McLaurin that iced the game.

When asked what his initial thoughts were to Daniels' play, Nabers replied, "Rookie of the Week all the way."

"After he saw me play, he was like, 'Yeah, I gotta go dumb on Monday,'" Nabers said of a conversation he had with Daniels on Sunday. "I said, 'I'm rooting for you. Just don't go too hard though,' and he did exactly that."

Nabers was nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week for his 127 yard, one touchdown performance in the head-to-head loss to Daniels' Commanders in Week 2, but ultimately, the honor went to Arizona Cardinals receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

Nabers won't have to wait too long to get back out on the field and try to one-up Daniels. New York will host Dallas on "Thursday Night Football" on Sept. 26 in a highly anticipated divisional matchup.
