Pair of star quarterbacks set to return from injury in NFL Week 4

The NFL season isn't even a quarter of the way through and a number of teams have been ravaged by injuries. Nowhere has it seemed more prevalent than at the quarterback position.

Well, fans of the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Chargers can breath a sigh of relief (or continue to hold their collective breath) this weekend.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Saturday that Packers passer Jordan Love will be returning from a knee injury and starting against the Minnesota Vikings.

Love missed the last two games after suffering a sprained ligament in his knee at the end of Green Bay's Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is also reporting that Los Angeles passer Justin Herbert is expected to start against the Kansas City Chiefs. Herbert was feared to have re-aggravated a high-ankle sprain against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3, one that could have potentially kept him out through Los Angeles' Week 5 bye.

Despite Herbert's expected return (barring a pregame setback), the Chargers will still be without some key players , including pass-rusher Joey Bosa and tackle Rashawn Slater. Both Packers and Chargers fans may worry their star quarterbacks are being rushed back into action with the risk of further setbacks — especially in the case of Love, whose backup Malik Willis was 2-0 in his absence.

They can count themselves lucky they aren't the Miami Dolphins, who will be starting Tyler Huntley over Tim Boyle and in place of injured signal-callers Tua Tagovailoa and Skylar Thompson.
