Post-waiver wire fantasy football pickups for Week 5

Looking for something to do this weekend? Why not fine-tune your fantasy lineup with these players still available on the Week 5 waiver wire?
RB: Antonio Gibson (New England Patriots)
Running back Rhamondre Stevenson hasn’t scored a touchdown in the past two weeks but has coughed up the ball in each of the team’s first four games. No wonder Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo is considering a move to Gibson.
"That's definitely under consideration," Mayo told reporters . "...We can't preach ball security is job security and still have him out there the majority of the time."
Stevenson also tallied just 66 yards in the last two games, which should open the door for the former Commanders running back.
Gibson ran for only 12 yards on six carries against a tough 49ers defense last week but did much better through the air with 67 yards on three catches, giving him 10.9 fantasy points.
While Gibson certainly isn’t the same player that led the Commanders in rushing in 2020 and 2021, he remains a good option in PPR leagues while running backs like Saquon Barkley, J.K. Dobbins and Jahmyr Gibbs sit out with a Week 5 bye.
Robinson caught 11 of 14 targets for 71 yards and 18.1 fantasy points against the Cowboys last week and could see even more action with Malik Nabers currently in the league’s concussion protocol.
New York’s dynamic rookie receiver hasn't practiced all week and appears unlikely to play when the Giants travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks.
Of course, Robinson is dealing with a heel injury of his own and was limited in Thursday’s practice. Still, with only nine fewer catches (26) than Nabers (35), Robinson already has nearly half as many receptions as he had last season (60).
Even if Nabers manages to play in Seattle, Robinson has clearly established himself as New York’s No. 2 receiver and is worth a start in deeper leagues.
Robinson is available in 58% of Yahoo! leagues.
TE: Tucker Kraft (Green Bay Packers)
After seeing eight targets in his first three games, Kraft caught six of nine passes from a healthy Jordan Love for 53 yards and a score against Minnesota in Week 4. He also caught a two-point conversion. Kraft led all tight ends with 17.3 fantasy points and could do the same against the Rams in Week 5.
So far, the Rams are allowing the second-most yards (385.3) and points (28.8) per contest. More importantly, they’ve given up the seventh-most fantasy points per game (12.43) to tight ends. Only two teams have more yards per game (410) than the Packers this year, and only six teams average more points on offense (26.0).
Green Bay’s other tight end, Luke Musgrave, is questionable for Sunday’s game with an ankle injury, making Kraft an ideal “plug and play” option for Week 5.
