    Bobby Lashley.

AEW recently debuted MVP and Shelton Benjamin. Reports have stated that Bobby Lashley has also signed with the company and is awaiting his debut . The former WWE trio, once known as The Hurt Business, is expected to team back up in AEW and potentially fall into a partnership with Swerve Strickland.

MVP has recently been using the name "The Hurt Syndicate" as the moniker for the new stable. When speaking on a recent episode of "Busted Open Radio," former WWE star and current TNT champion Nic Nemeth (aka Dolph Ziggler) cited AEW's new trio as a potential answer to The Bloodline.

"[MVP's new AEW stable] could be a version of the Bloodline, of just totally dominating but having great stories and having great interviews and promos and then backing it up with the work behind it," Nemeth said. "There could be something very special for this faction. It could be the new thing that sets them apart."

AEW needs a faction that can make waves outside the company's fanbase. MVP, Benjamin and Lashley are all well known, easily recognizable talents. As such, if a storyline with the trio pops, it would be easy to infiltrate the casual viewing circles and potentially pull them in as more consistent AEW viewers.

Nemeth isn't the only one who has high hopes for what MVP can bring to AEW, either. Booker T recently praised the veteran during an episode of his "Hall Of Fame" podcast .

"I compare MVP to a Paul Heyman," Booker T said. "If anybody was going to be passed the torch from Paul Heyman, it would be someone like MVP. If we were to look at anybody in this business these days as a legitimate manager that could be a legitimizer for some young talent, it could be MVP ... My thing is MVP has done a hell of a job at what he's had to work with. He really has. Being able to parlay his in-ring career into what's next, which could be a managerial position isn't something every wrestler is thinking about, or what every wrestler is capable of doing."

The Bloodline has been the hottest story in professional wrestling for years. WWE has found ways to keep the story moving forward while also allowing it to develop and evolve. AEW's creative team could follow a similar blueprint with The Hurt Syndicate, potentially having them feud with Strickland and Prince Nana before teaming up to face a bigger threat elsewhere within the promotion.

Whatever AEW decides to do, it now has three new talents who could help elevate the company in a new way. After signing a new media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery , AEW entering another period of rapid growth would be an ideal way to end the year.
