Denver Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain II.

Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II and Seattle Seahawks safety Rayshawn Jenkins combined to make NFL history on Sunday and they did it within minutes of each other.

With the New York Giants lining up for 4th-and-goal from the Seahawks' 1-yard line with 2:33 left in the first quarter, running back Eric Gray took a handoff from quarterback Daniel Jones. As Gray tried to bulldoze his way into the end zone, the ball was jarred loose, recovered by Jenkins and brought back 102 yards the other way for an easy touchdown.

According to a report by Pro Football Talk's Michael David Smith , the play was the third-longest fumble-return touchdown in league history.

Minutes later, over 1,000 miles away in an AFC West matchup, Las Vegas Raiders signal-caller Gardner Minshew was picked off by Surtain at the goal line. The two-time Pro Bowl defensive back outraced all of his opponents the other way for six points and finished off a historic Week 5 for the NFL.

Despite his huge effort, Jenkins' Seahawks (3-2) were upset by Big Blue at home, 29-20, to drop their second game in a row. Surtain's Broncos (3-2), meanwhile, came back from a 10-0 hole to defeat the Raiders, 34-18, for their third straight victory.
