Colorado head coach Tad Boyle and his staff are assembling a solid 2025 class that will likely rank among the top 25 nationwide.

According to multiple reports this week, the Buffaloes' latest senior cycle pledge came from four-star combo guard Josiah Sanders, who picked Colorado over other finalists Northwestern, San Diego State, Stanford and Tennessee.

The 6-foot-5 Sanders stands out at Colorado Prep in Colorado Springs, an EIBC League member. During the most recent AAU season, he earned high praise from national analysts and scouts while starring for the 17U team of the Jordan, Utah-based Mountain Stars in the Under Armour Association league ("UAA").

According to recruiting services, Sanders received more than 20 scholarship offers from a range of high-major programs throughout his recruitment. Both 247Sports and ESPN rate him as a four-star prospect.

Sanders' highest 2025 class rankings come from 247Sports, which ranks him No. 119 overall , No. 16 at combo guard, and No. 1 in Colorado.

In an evaluation published in mid-July, 247Sports director of scouting Adam Finkelstein wrote in part that "Sanders is a big and strong lefty guard who played almost exclusively with the ball in his hands this spring and summer. He plays with an attacking mentality and creates mismatch problems for opposing guards who can't contend with his size and strength."

With Sanders on board, the Buffaloes are up to four verbal commitments in their 2025 cycle , all of which have arrived since mid-August. The program's other 2025 pledges are four-star shooting guard Jalin Holland, three-star wing Ian Inman and three-star point guard Isaiah Johnson.

Currently, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite and Rivals.com rank Colorado's 2025 class in the top 25 in the country .

In the 2023-24 campaign, the Buffaloes went 26-11, reaching the Pac-12 Conference postseason tournament and the NCAA Tournament's second round as a No. 10 seed. For the 2024-25 season, Colorado will play in the Big 12 Conference.
