    Ottawa Senators center Josh Norris.

The Ottawa Senators and Los Angeles Kings were involved in a barn burner on the ice Monday afternoon.

The wild 15-goal game ended with Ottawa winning in overtime, 8-7.

Senators center Josh Norris scored his first two goals of the season, including the winner nearly 16 minutes into overtime.

He skated behind his teammate, right wing Drake Batherson, who passed him the puck as they crossed paths, giving Norris an opening to take the winning shot.

He also scored a power-play goal off an assist from Batherson in the third period to give Ottawa (2-1) a 7-6 lead, ripping the wrist shot past Knights goalie Darcy Kuemper.

It was Norris' first two-goal game since Feb. 22 and 10th in his six-year career.

Norris was selected by San Jose in the first round (19th overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft after playing collegiately at Michigan. He was traded to the Senators in a deal that sent five-time All-Star Erik Karlsson to the Sharks in September 2018.

Apparently, the author of this article is an absolute moron who knows nothing about hockey overtime rules. IT'S A 5 MINUTE OVERTIME, HARD TO SCORE 16 MINUTES INTO OVERTIME! It's time to get a real job, Eric Smithling!
