The outright bets to make for Shriners Children's Open

The PGA Tour heads to Sin City this weekend for the Shriners Children's Open at TPC Summerlin. Unsurprisingly, back-to-back champion Tom Kim is the clear betting favorite at +1200 to three-peat, but we're looking further down the board for our outright bets. Here are the three players we're backing to win in Las Vegas.

Beau Hossler (+2800 FanDuel)

Hossler has been knocking at the door of his first PGA Tour win lately. The Texas product recently finished T12 at the Wyndham Championship, lost in a playoff at the Sanderson Farms Championship and finished T11 at the Black Desert Championship.

After a dreadful season with his irons, Hossler has gained strokes on approach in back-to-back starts. Iron play is the strongest indicator of success at TPC Summerlin, and Hossler is trending in the right direction there. Hossler also has one of the strongest course histories at this golf course. He finished T7 at the Shriners Children's Open last year and gained strokes in all four major categories.

Adam Hadwin (+4000 DraftKings)

Speaking of strong course history, Kim is the only PGA Tour player who's performed better than Hadwin at TPC Summerlin. In eight career starts at the Shriners Children's Open, Hadwin has five top-10s and a runner-up finish. He's shot 68 or better in 19 of his last 20 rounds at TPC Summerlin, showcasing his incredible consistency at one of his favorite venues on Tour.

There's just something about these bentgrass greens Hadwin absolutely loves. The Canadian has gained strokes from putting in all eight of his starts at TPC Summerlin. If the irons show up this week, expect Hadwin to contend like he normally does at this tournament.

Daniel Berger (+7000 FD)

After missing the entire 2023 season, Berger hasn't been able to regain his stellar form from before his back surgery. Let's not forget — Berger had eight top-25 finishes and four top-10s in 13 starts in 2022, and he's a four-time winner on the PGA Tour. The 31-year-old is going to find his game eventually, and he's starting to show signs of just that.

After a brutal stretch of golf from June to September, Berger finished solo seventh at the Sanderson Farms Championship two weeks ago. He had his second-best putting week of the season in what has been a disastrous year on the greens. The ball-striking is still there for Berger, as he's gained strokes from off the tee and on approach in two straight starts. The putting just has to cooperate for him to contend.
