    Davante Adams.

Davante Adams seems to be happy reuniting with Aaron Rodgers, as he's already making jokes at the veteran quarterback's expense.

The superstar wide receiver practiced with the New York Jets for the first time since being traded from the Las Vegas Raiders. He then gave a tongue-and-cheek response to a question in his post-practice media scrum about the reunion with his former Packers teammate.

"We haven't played yet, he might not be as good as he used to be so we'll see," Adams quipped before cracking a smile.

Adams did strike a more serious tone later and admitted that Rodgers was a main reason he wanted to play in New York.

"It's great to be back and be with my guy," he said. "Being able to spend time with him everyday again is something a put a lot of value on. Having his company, but also having him as my quarterback again. He's part of why I am who I am."

The Jets were a favorite to acquire Adams ahead of the trade deadline after the wideout expressed a desire to team back up with a quarterback he has played with in the past. Adams informed the Raiders on Sept. 30 that he desired to be traded, per USA Today .

The question now is whether Adams and Rodgers can find the same magic they had in Green Bay and turn the Jets' season around.

New York is 2-4 in 2024 and in their midst of a three-game losing skid. It ranks 10th in the league in passing yards (1,423) while Rodgers ranks 26th in the NFL in completion percentage (61.8).

The Jets visit the 4-2 Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7.
