Helaman Casuga has nearly 20 offers to his name, but at the end of the day, everything in his recruitment was coming up Texas A&M. New head coach Mike Elko has the Aggies at 5-1 and first in the overall SEC standings, and they're rolling on the recruiting trail now as well.

Casuga, a four-star quarterback 2026 recruit from Draper, Utah, committed to the Aggies on Thursday. USC and Washington were also heavily in the mix.

“I believe that they’re building something special down there,” Casuga told On3's Hunter Shelton regarding his commitment. “Obviously I want to be part of the Elko era. He’s done so many great things at Duke and now he’s showing he can do it at a SEC school. That's very impressive."

It's an early commitment for a player who is not even through his senior season of high school ball just yet, but Texas A&M provided everything Casuga was looking for. The four-star quarterback actually made his commitment to Texas A&M back in Week 1 when the Aggie took on Notre Dame at Kyle Field.

“The 12th man is crazy. They love Aggie football and they’re dedicated," he explained. "It’s a culture down in Texas. I feel that’s special to be part of something like that.”

It was a silent commitment then, but now Casuga is ready to make it public with Texas A&M.

According to 247Sports, Casuga is the No. 13 quarterback recruit in his class. He's now Texas A&M's third 2026 commitment , joining three-star safety Markel Ford and three-star cornerback Ryan Gilbert.
