Comedy showdown at Cactus Jack’s a big success
The Valley has a new queen of comedy and Ahwatukee comedian and promoter Anthony Solimini thinks he’s on to a good thing. Solomini, a retired international banking executive who became a comic and created HaHaTukee, co-produced a showdown for Valley comedians with Comedy School founder Tony Vicich that brought some of the funniest men and women together for weeks in an elimination competition at Cactus Jack’s Grill at 48th Street and Elliot Road.

Mesa business owner sentenced to 5 years for health care fraud
PHOENIX — A Mesa woman was sentenced this week to 66 months in prison for defrauding Arizona’s Medicaid program. Diana Moore was also ordered to pay more than $21 million in restitution to the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) after pleading guilty to wire fraud and money laundering on July 10, 2023.
