Yates Center police reminds drivers of roadwork on Mary Street

YATES CENTER, Kan. (KOAM) -- The Yates Center Police Department is reminding people about roadwork in the area.

According to the Yates Center Police Department's Facebook page, road work is currently underway on Mary Street. The department says drivers should not drive through the cones to get to the other side of Mary Street. The intersections are open to allow drivers to cross.

"We ask that you please plan your route accordingly because the ticket issued for disobeying a traffic control device is not cheap. Be safe stay cool and remember to go out and enjoy the Woodson County Fair!" says the Yates Center Police Department.
