Storms cause power outages
Pope and Yell counties were affected by severe weather Wednesday morning that caused over 1,500 to be without power and the closure of several businesses. Pope County Judge Ben Cross said trees were down in several locations, including at the Russellville library and 911 communications center off Weir Road. Power outages affected the Pope County Courthouse, traffic lights at Main and Arkansas and several businesses.
