Victim of stabbing death identified, suspect wounded by deputy
The victim of a stabbing that occurred on June 28 on the Billings Heights has died and the suspect was wounded by Yellowstone County deputy. Patricia Mascarena, age 55, of Billings, is the deceased. The cause of death was determined to be from multiple sharp force injuries and the manner of death was determined to be homicide.
Billings man accused of embezzling $80,000
A Billings man is accused of embezzling thousands of dollars while an employee at a local RV park. Duane Leon Alderman has been charged in Yellowstone County District Court with embezzlement exceeding $10,000. County investigators allegedly found the 37-year-old had swiped roughly $80,000 by tampering with the RV park’s computerized transaction system.
Bo Fire burning 400 acres near Alkali Creek Road
UPDATE 8:30 PM - The Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office says as the winds slowed Saturday evening, crews have gotten a good handle on the fire.
