    Yellville, Arkansas man dies after falling off roof

    MARION COUNTY, Ark. — A man from Yellville, Arkansas, is dead after falling off the roof of a house he was working on Friday morning, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).

    Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander says at 7:41 a.m., deputies got a 911 call saying a man, later identified as 68-year-old Steven Loy Davenport, was seriously injured at a house on MC Road 5040 after falling off a roof and needed help immediately.

    Yellville and Ralph-Caney first responders, as well as a Baxter Health Ambulance, were sent to the scene. Davenport was then officially pronounced deceased at the scene by the Marion County Coroner.

    MCSO says an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
