Local business owner sentenced to prison for submitting fraudulent hospital invoices
Las Vegas (KSNV) — A Las Vegas business owner is being sentenced to prison following a fraud scheme involving a Nevada hospital. Roland Sagun Torres was sentenced to 21 months in prison earlier this month after authorities say he submitted more than $700,000 in false invoices to a hospital, causing the hospital to mail checks to the defendant for products not provided to the hospital.
