City, County share heatwave resources
With triple-digit temperatures forecast, the U.S. National Weather Service in Sacramento issued an excessive heat warning for Yolo County from Tuesday morning July 2, through Sunday evening, July 7. The City of Winters and Yolo County officials are encouraging residents to exercise caution and take steps to remain safe and cool during this heat wave with potential impacts to people, pets, and livestock due to heat-related illnesses.

UPDATE: PG&E says the scope of its planned Public Safety Power Shutoffs has been scaled back, but some 2,000 customers across eight counties had their electricity turned off Tuesday morning. As of 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, the following number of PG&E customers are in the dark: Butte: 314, Colusa: 25, Lake: 174, Napa: 19, Solano: 114, Sonoma: 13, Tehama: 917, and Yolo: 230. YOLO COUNTY – Nearly 12,000 Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) customers across eight Northern California counties could be impacted by a potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) on Tuesday.Which counties could be impacted by the PSPS?PG&E says the PSPS could affect customers in Colusa, Glenn, Lake, Napa, Shasta, Solano, Tehama and Yolo counties.
