Brothers from Oregon plead guilty for role in Jan. 6 riot at US Capitol
PORTLAND, Ore. — Two brothers from Oregon pleaded guilty to felony and misdemeanor charges for their role in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Jonathanpeter Allen Klein, 24, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to one count of civil disorder and one count of assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers.

BOTH VEHICLES LIKELY A TOTAL LOSS IN TWO-CAR ACCIDENT
Both vehicles were likely a total loss following a two-car accident in Roseburg on Tuesday afternoon. A Roseburg Police report said at 2:45 p.m. a 44-year-old woman was traveling west on Northeast Alameda Street and entered the intersection with Northeast Stephens Street with the intention of continuing straight onto Northwest Stewart Parkway. An 81-year-old woman was traveling north on Stephens Street and thought she had the green light. The second vehicle collided with the rear driver’s side of the first vehicle. Neither party was injured.
ONE JAILED, FOUR CITED FOLLOWING DRINKING IN PUBLIC INCIDENT
One person was jailed and four were cited following a drinking in public incident on Tuesday night. A Roseburg Police report said at 7:45 p.m. officers contacted several individuals drinking in Eagles Park in the 7000 block of Southeast Jackson Street. A 31-year-old man was found to be excluded from the downtown area and was detained for criminal trespass in the second-degree. The man was detained on $1,250 bail. He and the four others were all cited for drinking in public.
ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR RESTRAINING ORDER VIOLATION
Roseburg Police jailed a man for a restraining order violation on Tuesday. An RPD report said at 11:05 a.m. the 63-year-old was served with a restraining order. Ten minutes later he walked over to the residence he was restrained from in the 2800 block of West Sherwood Avenue and knocked on the front door. The man told officers he didn’t read the entire restraining order.

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. – Wendy Lapointe’s home is destroyed after wind storms caused a tree to fall into her home, leading to the roof caving in. Monday evening, Lapointe said she and her partner were watching television when they started hearing loud gusts of wind outside. Within minutes, the tree fell into her home.

ROSEBURG MAN HOSPITALIZED AFTER TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN GREEN
A Roseburg man was hospitalized after a two-vehicle accident in Green Tuesday afternoon. A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 12:40 p.m. the 83-year-old was traveling west near the intersection of Happy Valley Road and Little Valley Road. His pickup drifted across lanes into oncoming traffic and struck a second pickup which was headed east, though that driver was attempting to avoid contact. The vehicle hit was also towing a utility trailer which swung around due to the impact and struck a parked vehicle, causing damage.
TENMILE MAN JAILED AFTER PURSUIT INCIDENT MONDAY NIGHT
A Tenmile man was jailed after a pursuit incident late Monday night. A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 10:40 p.m. a deputy attempted to stop a sedan for violations in the 3000 block Strickland Canyon Road. The driver, 22-year-old Jered Thompson, proceeded west onto Highway 42 and continued with speeds between 60 and 100 miles per hour clear into Coos County before being spiked near Bridge by a Coos County deputy.
