On Monday evening, 5-star tight end Kendre Harrison, the No. 1 TE in the 2026 class, announced his top six schools, putting the Ducks in the mix. Alongside Oregon is North Carolina, Tennessee, Penn State, Florida State, and Miami. Three Oregon alumni honored by sports department
Friday, Oregon announced that it has selected three people to receive their athletic department's distinguished alumni awards. Ducks men's basketball hall of famer, Luke Jackson was awarded the 2024 Leo Harris Award. It is given to an alumni letterman on the basis of at least 20 years of achievement and service since graduation. Jackson served as the head coach at Northwest Christian University (now Bushnell), before stepping down and focusing on youth sports programs in the greater Eugene area. Now he will be returning to the sideline this upcoming year to serve as the head boys' basketball coach at pleasant hill high school.

Mysterious posters 'ban' ghost summoning in Portland park
PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Mysterious posters that popped up in a Portland park claim recent events have resulted in an Ouija board ban. Over the weekend, a poster reading "DUE TO RECENT EVENTS OUIJA BOARDS ARE NO LONGER PERMITTED AT FERNHILL PARK” was placed on the bathroom doors of Fernhill Park in northeast Portland.
Local high school student gains national recognition for his scooter skills
MEDFORD, Ore. – A local high school student is gaining national recognition for his scooter skills. Ashland High School senior-to-be Bodhi Sol has been riding his scooter for about 7 years. Last weekend he competed in the U.S. National Sport Scooter Competition in Utah. Sol placed first in the junior “Park division” and third in the “Street division”.
DEPUTIES JAIL ROSEBURG MAN FOR DUII CHARGE
Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man for DUII on Saturday afternoon. A DCSO report said at approximately 2:40 p.m. the 58-year-old was called in as leaving from a location intoxicated. A deputy checked the area and saw the suspect stumbling out from a residence in the 200 block of Club Avene, north of Roseburg, to his vehicle. The man told the deputy that he had gone to a bar and drank two beers before returning home.
