DeSPAIN HOLDING EVENT FOR VETERANS ON MONDAY
Republican candidate for Congress Monique DeSpain will hold a roundtable event with veterans, veterans service providers and local elected officials on Monday. All evacuation notices lifted for fast-moving grass fire near Days Creek
DAYS CREEK, Ore. – Officials have issued an evacuation order for a road near the community of Days Creek as a fast-moving grass fire burns in the area. The Douglas County Sheriff’s office issued a Level One (Be Ready) evacuation order for all homes on Michaels Ranch Lane near Days Creek in the afternoon of July 19 in response to a fast-moving grass fire. Residents in the area should prepare to leave if the danger increases, and may want to leave the area now. A Level One evacuation notice means that danger is nearby, and residents should keep an eye on it in case conditions worsen.

Oregon’s wildfire season is off to a busy start, and it's expected to stay that way the rest of the summer, Gov. Tina Kotek acknowledged at a Friday news conference.
