SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Willamalane’s annual Concerts in the Park series is on for the summer, with the fun kicking off on Wednesday night at Island Park in Springfield. DAYS CREEK, Ore. – Officials have issued an evacuation order for a road near the community of Days Creek as a fast-moving grass fire burns in the area. The Douglas County Sheriff’s office issued a Level One (Be Ready) evacuation order for all homes on Michaels Ranch Lane near Days Creek in the afternoon of July 19 in response to a fast-moving grass fire. Residents in the area should prepare to leave if the danger increases, and may want to leave the area now.
