Silantra Asian Street Kitchen closes York County location

Silantra Asian Street Kitchen, a quick-serve restaurant serving Asian cuisine formerly located in the West Manchester Town Center, recently announced the closure of the York location.

Owners Sam and Cindy Guo started Silantra in 2015, with their first location in Lancaster. Eventually, they expanded into York County.

"After careful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the store permanently," an Instagram post read. "To our loyal customers, please know this was not an easy choice. We spent two years working here full-time, even drawing from our personal retirement accounts to keep the store going."

The owners expressed that high rent and additional restaurant costs brought them to the decision to close the York location.

This is, however, not the end of Silantra in York, and according to the post, the owners hope to open a location in the area when timing makes sense.

"Thank you to all our loyal customers, and if you’re ever in the area, please visit our Lancaster and Camp Hill stores to satisfy your Silantra cravings."
