The York County SPCA adopted more than 100 animals over the weekend during Clear the Shelter month, according to a Facebook post.

"After almost two years of operating at or beyond our capacity, we cannot believe that our entire kennel is almost empty!" the shelter in Manchester Township said in the Facebook post.

The shelter waived the adoption fee for the weekend in hopes of finding forever homes for the dogs, cats and small animals.

Two dogs — Azul and Cheetah — remained available for adoption at the shelter as of the post on Sunday afternoon.

"We cannot thank all of the wonderful families who adopted this weekend enough!" the shelter posted. "Our staff and volunteers worked so hard to make this event happen and to create lifesaving outcomes for the pets in our care."
