The practice will be Optima’s second in Maine and fifth in New England, with three existing practices located throughout New Hampshire.

Optima’s York practice at 10 Market Place Drive will be led by Joan Sisto, Virginia Barton and Jacqueline Watts.

Sisto has been serving patients in southern Maine and the New Hampshire Seacoast since 1999. She completed her residency in dermatology at Montefiore Hospital of AECOM and was named Chief Resident during her final year. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

“It’s wonderful to be part of Optima’s continued growth and focus on increasing access to dermatology services in New England,” said Sisto. “I value Optima’s approach to dermatology as it reflects my own mission to treat my patients like I would want my friends and family to be treated.”

Barton will offer medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology care and will be serving patients of all ages. She will be joining the York location as well as the existing Scarborough practice. Barton completed her dermatology residency at Tulane University where she was named Chief Resident of Cosmetics and inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She earned her Doctor of Medicine in 2018 at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Jacqueline Watts will also join Barton and Sisto. Watts has been providing medical dermatology treatments since 2020 and will serve patients of all ages out of the York and Stratham, N.H. practice locations. She earned her master of science in health sciences, physician assistant from George Washington University and was inducted into the National Alpha Eta Honor Society.

Patients visiting the York practice can expect attentive, personalized care with skin care treatments tailored to their needs.

Treatments offered include acne, eczema, psoriasis, autoimmune connective tissue disease, skin cancer, and more. Patients can also enjoy cosmetic treatments such as neurotoxin, dermal filler, chemical peels, and laser procedures.

The York practice will begin seeing patients on Aug. 5. For more information and to request an appointment, please visit https://optimadermatology.com/locations/me/york-me.
