Huskers land top-ranked 2025 North Dakota recruit Kade Pietrzak
The Nebraska football team landed its 17th recruit from the class of 2025 and its third top-ranked state recruit. Kade Pietrzak, the top-ranked recruit of North Dakota, announced he is committing to the Huskers. Pietrzak is a four-star defensive lineman who is 6-feet-5 and 260 pounds. He has a 31-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot-4 broad jump, and a 4.8-second 40. He is ranked 35th in the class of 2025 for defensive lineman and helped West Fargo Sheyenne High School finish 8-3 on the season, falling in the NDHSAA Division AAA Semi-Finals. Pietrzak chose Nebraska over Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Kansas State after visiting Lincoln officially in mid-June. This is Nebraska’s third top-ranked 2025 recruit from within its 500-mile radius. Pietrzak joins Colorado’s Tanner Terch and South Dakota’s Shawn Hammerbeck. He also joins Omaha four-star Tyson Terry and Hitchcock, Texas four-star Malcolm Simpson as defensive line commits for the Huskers in the 2025 class. The 2024 college football season will be the first season of the newly expanded Big Ten Conference. The league has added Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington to bring their total number of teams to 18. With the addition of four West Coast schools, the conference will see a dramatic increase in the number of miles teams will travel in 2024. Recent data shows that the four new teams will have the most ground to cover. UCLA will travel over 22,000 miles for the 2024 Big Ten football season, with an average round trip of 3,764 miles. The Bruins will also cross over 26 different time zones.Indiana will cover the least ground, traveling only 4,894 miles and eight different time zones.
