Crews will start a project along Route 30 and a section of Roosevelt Avenue in the York area this month to repair a sinkhole and patch the pavement, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The $8.7 million Route 30 project spans from Route 74 in West Manchester Township to Interstate 83 in Manchester Township, the release states.

The sinkhole that will be repaired is along the right shoulder of westbound Route 30 close to the Route 74 off-ramp, according to PennDOT.

Crews also will work on Roosevelt Avenue from Marbrook Lane in the City of York to just north of Greenbriar Road in West Manchester Township.

The work includes base repair, concrete patching, concrete paving, and asphalt milling and overlay as well as other improvements.

JVI Group, Inc. of York Springs is the contractor for the project.

The project is expected to be completed by early November 2025.
