This summer, YDR asked the people of York County to vote for their favorite spot in town to get french fries.

The votes were close, with the first-place winner being Brewvino, a casual bar specializing in handcrafted pizza pies, a rotating beer and global wine menu − and their hand-cut fries are pretty popular.

Behind Brewvino, Moonlight Cafe in Dover took second place receiving 17 percent of the total votes, followed by 2Delicious, J.R's Fries and Bricker's.

Each week, Brewvino goes through between 750 to 1,000 pounds of Idaho potatoes, which are used to make their hand-cut fries.

Co-owner Jordan Chronister said growing up, his family frequented the Delaware beaches, and the hand-cut fries along the boardwalk were a must-try whenever they were visiting.

At Brewvino, you can have hand-cut fries several ways: plain, topped with sea salt, or with plenty of toppings including buffalo chicken, chicken bacon ranch, bacon and cheese or cheesesteak.

Brewvino is at 2779 Carlisle Road, York on the Grandview Golf Course.
