York State Fair ready to kick-off with temperatures looking to be in the 80s: ‘Stay cool and hydrated’

(WHTM) — Calmer weather now is good news for the York State Fair, which opens Friday.

Attendance in recent years has been down and some people think that’s because of the switch a few years back from September — to July.

Luckily our abc27 meteorologists expect temperatures to mostly remain in the 80s the next few days.

“But we always encourage people to stay cool and hydrated,” York State Fair Spokesperson Montgomery Stambaugh said. “All of our buildings are air conditioned, as well as we have several cooling stations, ranging from shaded areas to a misting tent and an a/c tent.”
