A tractor-trailer crashed into the First National Bank in York Township on Friday afternoon after the big rig drifted across the road without the driver, according to York County Regional Police.

No one was injured, a news release states.

Customers and employees were inside the bank in the 2100 block of South Queen Street when the crash happened around 1:44 p.m., police said.

Police say the tractor-trailer was parked across the street at the Sunoco gas station. The driver exited the vehicle, and the big rig then drifted across all of the South Queen Street lanes.

The tractor-trailer struck two other vehicles before it hit the bank building, police said.

The cab part of the tractor-trailer was embedded in the bank, said Ted Czech, public information officer for the York County Office of Emergency Management/York County 911.

The Advanced Technical Rescue team responded to the crash and assisted in pulling the cab out of the building, he said.

Some roads were blocked off as a result of the wreck.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
