As the old saying goes, if you don’t like the weather in Texas, just wait a few hours… Brianna Cox and a few of her two and four legged friends decided to take advantage of the unwinter like weather last week and hit the town. Cox and her posse saddled up and headed to the City Park for a treat of shaved ice.

The first day of Spring is Tuesday, March 19, but you couldn’t tell that by the extreme weather changes this weekend. Last Wednesday saw a high of 83 degrees, giving us a glimpse of the springtime to come, but by Sunday we were back into the 60’s.

Sunday was indeed extreme with the rain showers in the morning, later giving us thunder and lightning so loud the windows shook, and sending the temps down again.

With Tuesday upon us, you can expect to feel temperatures in the 50’s, causing some of us to pull out those sweaters and jackets we had already pushed to the back of the closet.

Brianna and her friends seemed to have a great time trotting around our city. It was a nice site to behold. Cox is the daughter of Nicole Cox of Yorktown.
