    Senior Social Hour

    TPA Meeting

    The Travelers Protective Association (TPA) will have the regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 2, at 8 a.m. at Bahnhof Cafe, 213 W. Main. All members and prospective members are invited to attend and have breakfast with the group.

    Friends of DeWitt County Children’s 2nd Annual Touch-A-Truck, Saturday, July 6, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Cuero VFW, 934 U.S. Highway 183 N. Explore, touch and climb on all kinds of vehicles (Horn-free 10-10:30 a.m.).

    Paul Weise Family Reunion

    The Paul Weise Family Reunion will be held Sunday, July 7, at the DeWitt County Vietnam Veterans Center in Yorktown. Registration begins at 10 a.m. A potluck lunch will be served at noon. Family members are encouraged to bring an item(s) for the family auction fundraiser.

    Young Adult Book Club

    A fun, relaxed discussion of Nightfall by Isaac Asimov and Robert Silverberg, Wednesday, July 10, 4 p.m. at Yorktown Public Library Meeting Room.

    FBC Yorktown holding Bible Alive in July

    FBC Yorktown will offer a week of fun and Bible teaching at BIBLE ALIVE the week of July 8-12, 9:00 am to Noon. Not only will they learn Old Testament stories, they will learn why Old Testament stories are in the Bible; as well as music, crafts, games, and snacks. This year's topic is Moses.     Library/Crown Hospice Hosts Senior Social Hour

    Crown Hospice is holding a Senior Social Hour at the Yorktown Public Library on the 1st Monday of every month. The social hour begins at 10 a.m. and is open to the public. Bingo, prizes and snacks are all provided free of charge. The hosts look forward to you attending.

    DeWitt County Shutterbugs

    Meals on Wheels volunteers needed

    Volunteers are needed to help deliver meals in the central DeWitt County area for Meals on Wheels South Texas. Meals are delivered once a week on Wednesdays from about 11 a.m. to noon. If you are interested in volunteering you can go to mowstx. org or email volunteer@ mowstx.org.
