STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A Stafford County woman’s Bank a Million tickets won her $250,000 after taxes .

Shevan Collier bought a few Bank a Million tickets at Royal Forms, located at 1500 George Washington Highway in Yorktown, and used a combination of family birthdays to pick numbers for the May 25 drawing.

Later, after the drawing, the Virginia Lottery said she checked the winning numbers on the Virginia Lottery’s app and found that her numbers were chosen.

The prize was $250,000 after taxes. Since she split the $2 wager four ways when she bought the ticket, she had four sets of numbers. Using that “Play Your Way” feature, she won $250,000 on one of the sets of numbers.

According to the Virginia Lottery, the winning numbers for that drawing were 2-4-5-12-14-31, and the Bonus Ball number was 11. She matched the first six numbers, so she didn’t need the Bonus Ball number.

Bank a Million is played only in Virginia with drawings on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11 p.m. The top prizes ($1 million, $500,000 and $250,000) are calculated so that winners receive the prize amount after federal and state tax withholdings.
