Nick Saban makes SEC championship prediction
Former Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban predicts that the Georgia Bulldogs will face the Texas Longhorns in the 2024 SEC championship game. Georgia is already scheduled to play at Texas this fall, so the SEC championship would be a rematch between the two teams. The 16-team SEC will not have any divisions during the 2024 college football season. The two teams with the best conference records will represent the conference in the SEC championship, which will be held in Atlanta on Dec. 7, 2024. Notably, Saban does not think that his former team, Alabama, will advance to the SEC championship....

The harsh reality for Kirby Smart and Georgia's reckless driving problem
Look. I did not want to write this, but I feel that it is my obligation as a University of Georgia alum to peel back the curtain a bit and reveal what is really going on with the football team's reckless driving issues. I do not condone driving like a jerk, but I did go to school here over a decade ago, and I saw some things. For everyone who wants Kirby Smart to dismiss those who want to drive fast, he cannot.
Former Georgia Bulldog named as Rams player on the roster bubble
Former Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Derion Kendrick has been identified as a player on the roster bubble for the Los Angeles Rams. Kendrick recorded 92 tackles and an interception during his first two seasons with the Rams, so it would be surprising to see Kendrick not make Los Angeles’ roster. Kendrick won a national championship with Georgia football in 2021. He could start at outside cornerback for the Rams, but he faces a significant amount of competition at that position and could be forced to move to the slot. “Kendrick has been benched on three separate occasions in the last two years, including twice last season,” wrote Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire. “The Rams appear to be trying him in the slot, based on Chris Shula’s comments earlier this offseason, but that’s not necessarily a good position for him given his lack of speed and quickness.” Another former Bulldog, quarterback Stetson Bennett will be fighting for a job with the Los Angeles Rams over the next couple of months.

What to expect from distillery and music venue Block & Drum, opening in Chamblee in the fall
Atlantan Justin Staples worked for Bacardi and consulted for other spirit companies and vineyards. He admired the way Napa Valley vineyards invite visitors into their space and walk them through the wine-making process from grape to drink. In contrast, he noticed that distilleries used most of their space for production, saving only about 15 percent for tasting and sales. He’s set to offer a different take on a distillery with the opening of Block & Drum in Chamblee in the fall.
